Varvara Gnucheva, born in Russia in 1983, now lives in France. She belongs to the family of famous Russian-French artists, among which Alexandre Benois, Evgeny Lanceray, Zinaida Serebryakova and Alexandre Serebryakov.
She perpetuates the traditions of her ancestors, who significantly contributed to Russian and French cultural heritage. At the same time, she has unique, distinctive and very personal style, which benefits from her education in Russia as a professional icon painter. Member of the International Federation of Artists since 2013, she regularly participates in exhibitions of contemporary art. Her works feature in private and public collections in France and Russia.
In 2017, Varvara Gnucheva became member of the association La Maison des Artistes. She took part in the Italian art project Il Genio dell’Arte. She received the prize Leonardo Da Vinci – The Universal Artist, as well as the excellence award of the Circle Foundation for the Arts. Reproductions of her works were published in the book Important World Artists Volume 2.
